Our guided dual sport rides are $195/ day per rider or $350/ per rider for both days.

The Back Roads Ride 06/29 - 06/30

Hey there, fellow dirt bike enthusiasts! Get ready to rev up your engines for the Back Roads Ride! Led by yours truly, Dave, this ride marks the kickoff of the fall riding season with an adrenaline-pumping Dual Sport adventure!

We'll kick things off from our home base at the historically renowned Wilseyville Hare Scramble location, and tear through the wild trails and back roads of Calaveras and Amador County, tackling rugged backroads and dirt trails ablaze with the stunning hues of autumn as we make our way to the breathtaking Bear River Reservoir.

But hold onto your handlebars because that's just the start of our two-day thrill ride, venturing deep into Calaveras County and ultimately conquering the epic terrain of Bear Valley. With a trusty sag wagon ensuring our safety, all you gotta bring is your lunch and a gas can – I've got everything else covered.

After a day of heart-pounding action, we'll bunk down under the twinkling fall sky at Kantu's brand-new campground, making memories that'll last a lifetime. And hey, camping is included. Departing from and returning to our Wilseyville Kantu home base, we'll embark on the exhilarating Bear ride, exploring rugged backroads and dirt trails to the picturesque Bear River Reservoir. White Pines 11/09 - 11/10

Beginning and ending at Kantu's home base in Wilseyville, this intermediate to advanced ride is guided by your GPS and supported by a sag wagon for added safety. Dave and Barbara Harrell

With over 60 years of combined experience in the motorcycle industry, Dave and Barbara have become well respected and highly regarded figureheads in California’s adventure motorcycle and dual sport riding scenes.

As active stewards of the sport, Dave and Barb have formed nonprofits to fight trail closures, taught motorcycle safety classes for the state of California and helped many new and seasoned riders discover dual sport and adventure riding for themselves.

Dave Harrell

is an industry veteran with over 50 years of riding experience and a passion for all things motorcycles. As the owner of a renowned motorcycle shop for over 45 years, Dave's expertise spans across various aspects of the motorcycling world.Not only is Dave a seasoned rider, but he's also a California Motorcycle Safety Program Instructor, dedicating nearly 10 years to educating riders on safe riding practices. He's a staunch advocate for the dual sport and adventure riding community in California, promoting and organizing thrilling rides across the state.

Dave's knowledge of on and off-road routes in the Sierra Nevada mountains is unparalleled, making him the go-to guide for riders seeking unforgettable adventures in the wilderness. His extensive experience with dealer and retail trade shows showcases his dedication to the motorcycle industry.

Safety is Dave's top priority, as evidenced by his CPR and first aid certifications. Beyond riding, Dave's commitment to giving back to the community is commendable. He founded and continues to run a non-profit organization that collaborates with the forest service to maintain trails for public enjoyment.A lifetime member of the AMA and District 36 since 1976, Dave has achieved A-level status in Motocross, Enduro, and Cross Country competition, solidifying his reputation as a skilled and accomplished rider. As a California Motorcycle Safety Program instructor for nearly ten years, Barbara is committed to sharing her knowledge and promoting safe riding practices. She's a driving force behind California-based dual sport and adventure rides, organizing thrilling experiences for riders of all levels.

Barbara's dynamic presence extends beyond the trails—she's also well-versed in dealer and retail trade shows, showcasing her dedication to the motorcycle community. Safety is paramount to Barbara, as evidenced by her CPR and first aid certifications.

But Barbara's contributions don't stop there. She's the brains behind a non-profit organization that collaborates with the forest service to maintain trails for public use, ensuring future generations can enjoy the thrill of off-road riding.A true trailblazer, Barbara has made her mark in the racing world as a multiple Women's A class racer within District 36 of California's enduro racing series.
